OUR MISSION
Our mission is simple but zealous. It is to create dream bedrooms for children with life-threatening illnesses. Where does a child go battling a life-challenging illness to find peace and comfort? Special Spaces was founded in July 2004 on the precedent that children battling a life-threatening illness needed their own healing space. We are a 501 C (3) nonprofit. It is a special space of hope and inspiration and a place to find peace, comfort and healing. Special Spaces as of today created over 100 dream bedrooms. It is the vision of our organization to have a Special Spaces affiliate in every state.

This is what it's all about! Meet Connar, age 5, our first referred child through Sunrise Children's Hospital, he is battling Cancer. In this photo he was at a fundraiser @ Chili's Restaurant for his Special Spaces Room Makeover, telling me about his trip to see Spiderman in Florida, that was granted thru the Make A Wish Foundation.
Connar is quite a little man and loves conversation... next to his first love of course... SPIDERMAN!
He is excited about his Special Spaces bedroom makeover because it is designed with Spiderman as it's theme!
UPDATE: Connar's dream bedroom makeover was completed and unveiled on Oct. 22, 2011.
